I have a lyre which I LOVE. It is so relaxing and helpful to play the lyre. There was one problem. It did not come with a case. The only thing I had was a box. If I wanted to bring it with me, I could not find anything decent. The lyre cases I could find were either out of stock or flimsy and would take two months to get. Then I saw this..
WHAT IS THIS LIKE?
You can see from all of the photos of this case that it is perfect for travel and laptop, tablet, and a lot of books or papers you might need for presentations or school. However, this is also perfect for my lyre and kalimbas to store and carry with me.
The back pocket which has an expansion zipper on it fits the lyre perfectly. I just put a piece of foam wrap on the front strings for a bit of extra protection and the kalimba or two in the other pocket. It is perfect.
The front pockets allow for tuner, extra strings, metronome, and a tuning box. I can also carry music, notes, and composition books if I want to as well.
IS IT PROTECTIVE?
This is the most protective case I have come across for my lyre with the bonus of fitting my kalimba pair in it as well. It has plenty of padding and protection from all sides. It is perfect. I can not begin to tell you how thrilled I am with this thing. I absolutely love it.
THE BOTTOM LINE
Although this is designed for laptops, tablets, cell phones, books and folders, this is absolutely the best case I have found for my lyre. The padding is perfect it is well protected and I can travel with my accessories too. It is the perfect case and I am totally THRILLED with it.

This is a very large bag. When I’m on the go, it’s basically my portable office. Its easy to travel with and I’ve flown with it too. If you want something sleek, this is going to be big for you, but it’s thoughtfully designed and I appreciate the extra room.
