    This review is strictly about the size The quality is A+ as you would expect from any Carhartt product. I was reading the reviews and saw mixed reviews on the fit. For starters I am 5’11” 185 Lbs with probably a slightly larger than average upper body size and 32″ waist. With sweatshirts and T-shirts I am in a constant struggle of being in between a size Large and X-large. I am very particular with how I like my sweatshirts to fit me. I like that perfect balance of being loose but not baggy, and snug but not tight. It is rare I find that perfect fit. With this sweatshirt I went with the Large and am 8/10 satisfied with the fit. The XL would of definitely been too big. I gave it an 8/10 because I would like it to be about 1/2″-1″ longer and a little bit slimmer through the torso (I told you I am very particular with the way sweatshirts fit me). It feels a little bit wide/big through the torso, BUT the saving grace is that it has a very thick and high quality elastic waist band that keeps it tight to your body around your waist. Last but not least, I have not washed it yet, but when I do I will most likely hang dry it just to make sure it doesn’t shrink because it’s 70% cotton. Would still fit OK if it shrunk, but would rather keep it the exact size it is now and not have it get shorter.

    Runs a little bigger than most shirts from this brand usually do. I’m 6′ 190lbs and the Large is a little bigger than I prefer. Other than that it’s a really great shirt. Nice heavy/sturdy material, and it’s really comfortable. Looks great with either khakis or jeans, and overall I’m happy with it.

    Nice shirt, but the fabric is very stiff, not your typical, soft sweatshirt.
