The security features were simple, but effective. There was ample room for a day trip around the city or town. Took it on my trip to Peru and it held a bottle of water on the side, and one in the main compartment. Also was able to carry snack bars, a banana, map, sunblock, and even a small light jacket or beanie. I was able to put my cell on the outermost pocket without worry of it getting stolen or snatched. The strap is nicely padded. The width was at times slightly uncomfortable since it crossed awkwardly across my boobs, but thats not a deal breaker. Highly reccomend.
